Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks a Senior Business Operations Program Manager to lead large, cross-functional enterprise programs across Strategy, Finance and Business Operations. This role sits within Blue Operations and partners with Operations VPs and senior leaders to scale manufacturing and improve operational efficiency.

You will own the design, governance, and cadence of reporting from weekly to monthly, manage risks and resources, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, operations management, or related field.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or PMPCertification.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, business operations.
• Proven experience leading and managing small teams.
• Proven success managing large-scale, enterprise-wide programs with measurable impact on operational efficiency and strategic goals.
• Proficiency in project and program management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira Confluence).
• Advanced skills in presentation and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Rhythm of Business and management operating system of Blue Operations.
• Understand and help manage the complex interplay between strategy, technology, manufacturing, finance and business operations.
• Lead the development and management of large-scale, cross-functional enterprise programs.
• Define program objectives, deliverables, risks, and success metrics to ensure alignment with operations strategy and company goals.
• Identify potential risks to program success, including resource gaps, timeline delays, or budgetary constraints.
• Identify and manage complex dependencies within the program as well as across other projects in the organization.
• Manage the program execution, risks, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
• Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to ensure successful program outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in current processes and implementing innovative solutions.
• Act as key liaison between operational teams and Operations leadership to ensure operations objectives are met.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on program objectives and priorities.
• Facilitate regular updates and reviews to communicate progress.
