Job description

OPERATIONS MANAGER / REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Premium Hospitality & Coffee Group | Manhattan, NYC

Salary: $95,000–$150,000 + Performance Bonus

An Exceptional Opportunity in a Growing Hospitality Group

An accomplished Operations Manager or Regional Operations Manager to join an expanding, premium hospitality and specialty coffee group in Manhattan.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, commercially minded hospitality professional to play an instrumental role in shaping the operational future of a growing multi-unit business.

A leader who combines strong financial acumen, operational expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to introduce structure, optimize performance, and develop systems that support sustainable growth.

Unlike traditional operations positions focused primarily on maintaining established processes, this role offers the opportunity to build, refine, and elevate the operational infrastructure of an evolving hospitality business.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable developing strategic initiatives, analyzing financial performance, and working directly with teams to implement meaningful improvements.

The Position:

Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will help oversee and strengthen operational performance across multiple Manhattan locations.

The position combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution, with a particular focus on cost optimization, operational efficiency, inventory management, purchasing, facilities, and the implementation of scalable operating systems.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence business performance, collaborate with experienced General Managers, and contribute to the company's continued development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective operating procedures, systems, and performance standards across multiple locations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, profitability, and overall operational execution.
  • Establish scalable processes that support the company's continued expansion.
  • Partner closely with location leadership to drive operational improvements and accountability.
Financial Performance & Cost Optimization
  • Analyze and improve COGS, labor productivity, inventory management, purchasing, and operating expenses.
  • Implement effective cost‑control measures without compromising product quality or guest experience.
  • Monitor operational performance indicators and develop actionable strategies to improve results.
  • Support budgeting, expense management, and operational reporting.
  • Strengthen inventory controls, ordering procedures, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Optimize purchasing practices, reduce waste, and improve stock accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain productive vendor relationships while identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Introduce consistent systems for procurement, receiving, and inventory reporting.
Facilities, Compliance & Operational Standards
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs, equipment servicing, and facility standards.
  • Coordinate external vendors and contractors to ensure efficient and cost‑effective operations.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Implement consistent procedures for audits, inspections, and quality assurance.
Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Collaborate with General Managers and senior leadership to support operational excellence.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships and encourage accountability through effective communication and influence.
  • Introduce practical solutions and best practices that improve day‑to‑day operations.
  • Contribute to the development of a strong, efficient, and scalable operational culture.
The Ideal Candidate:

We welcome experienced hospitality professionals from specialty coffee, premium cafés, bakeries, fast casual, QSR, and multi‑unit restaurant groups.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in multi‑unit hospitality operations, with a strong understanding of operational and financial performance.
  • Expertise in cost control, labor management, inventory, purchasing, and operational systems.
  • A track record of implementing processes, improving efficiencies, and delivering measurable business results.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, financial awareness, and commercial judgment.
  • A proactive, resourceful, and solutions‑oriented approach to leadership.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with experienced management teams and influence operational improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional standards.
  • The adaptability and initiative required to succeed in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Experience in specialty coffee is advantageous but not essential. Candidates with strong multi‑unit operational backgrounds and demonstrated success in building effective systems are equally encouraged to apply.

Two Levels of Opportunity

Recognizing that exceptional talent comes with different levels of experience, our client is considering candidates across two leadership profiles.

Operations Manager | $95,000–$120,000 + Bonus

An excellent opportunity for a capable, hands‑on multi‑unit operator ready to assume broader responsibility for operational systems, financial controls, purchasing, facilities, and performance improvement.

Senior Operations Manager / Regional Operations Manager | $125,000–$150,000 + Bonus

Designed for an established multi‑unit leader with advanced experience in financial performance, operational strategy, systems implementation, and organizational development.

This individual will work as a key operational partner to senior leadership, helping establish the infrastructure required for the next stage of business growth.

The final title, scope of responsibilities, and compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Our client offers a competitive compensation package and a supportive professional environment.

  • Base Salary: $95,000–$150,000, depending on experience
  • Performance Bonus: Available at both levels
  • Medical Insurance: Company‑sponsored plan with 75% employer contribution toward premiums for salaried employees
  • Paid Vacation: 20 days annually, accrued under company policy
  • Paid Sick Leave: In accordance with NYC regulations
  • 401(k): Safe‑harbor plan with employer matching contributions
  • Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday, with two consecutive days off typically provided
  • Work Environment: Field‑based across Manhattan locations, with flexibility for remote administrative work when appropriate
  • Additional Benefits: Staff beverages and coffee allowance

As with most multi‑unit hospitality leadership positions, occasional weekend presence and flexibility around operational needs are expected.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position offers a compelling combination of professional autonomy, operational influence, and long‑term growth potential within a premium hospitality environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to introduce meaningful improvements, establish lasting operational systems, and work closely with senior leadership during an important stage of business development.

For an accomplished hospitality professional seeking a position where their expertise can directly influence performance and future growth, this represents an exceptional next step.
