About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Senior Operations Manager – Bedding in Tupelo, MS. This senior operational leader directs multi-shift production operations across bedding manufacturing work centers, leading plant managers and supervisors to achieve production, cost, quality, and safety goals.

Key Responsibilities (Operations & Production Management):

• Direct multi-shift production operations, managing Operations Managers, Supervisors, and plant floor teams.
• Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety compliance, and housekeeping disciplines across all shifts.
• Partner with production schedulers and inventory controllers to ensure daily output targets are met reliably.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to maximize machine uptime and optimize assembly lines.
• Lead forward capacity planning with purchasing and inventory control to sustain optimal material flow.
• Champion Lean Six Sigma initiatives, process quality enhancements, and scrap-reduction programs.
• Manage functional operating budgets, driving cost-effective plant operations while sustaining product excellence.
• Mentor, evaluate, and develop frontline leadership talent through structured training and reviews.
• Oversee staffing decisions, workforce capacity modeling, and performance improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with significant senior management tenure.
• Proven track record applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Quality Improvement, and capacity planning.
• Ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Vehicle license; strong multi-shift organizational leadership.
• Exceptional communication, executive presence, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
