Job description

The Opportunity

Landscapes Unlimited Outdoors is seeking a Senior Operations Manager who knows how to run an operation—not simply manage one.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for turning company goals into execution. You will lead through managers, create accountability, improve systems, and ensure our people, equipment, scheduling and resources consistently deliver results.

We aren't looking for someone to personally solve every problem.

We're looking for someone who builds teams and systems that prevent problems and creates accountability when expectations aren't met.

What You'll Own
  • Operational Execution: Turn company priorities into executable plans across labor, scheduling, equipment, resources and production.
  • People & Accountability: Lead and develop managers, establish clear expectations, conduct effective 1:1s and build the next level of leadership.
  • Operational Profitability: Understand and improve labor performance, revenue per labor hour, job performance against estimate, overtime, equipment utilization, material efficiency and rework.
  • Systems & Process: Identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, strengthen Aspire discipline and build repeatable processes that allow the company to scale.
  • Performance Management: Lead through scorecards, KPIs and operating rhythms—not assumptions.
  • Cross-Department Execution: Create alignment and accountability between departments so commitments become results.
  • Continuous Improvement: Solve root causes instead of repeatedly fighting the same fires.
How You'll Be Measured

Success will be measured through a clearly defined operational scorecard including:

  • Labor performance vs. budget
  • Revenue per labor hour
  • Quality and safety
  • Equipment utilization and downtime
  • Overtime and rework
  • Leadership development and accountability
Who We're Looking For
  • 7–10+ years of progressive operational leadership.
  • Proven experience leading managers, not simply managing crews.
  • Experience overseeing multiple departments, teams or service lines.
  • Strong understanding of labor productivity, scheduling and resource management.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience managing through KPIs and scorecards.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and build scalable systems.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and willingness to have difficult conversations.
  • Ability to operate equally well in the field and around the leadership table.

Landscape experience is valuable, but it is not required. We are interested in proven operators from landscaping, construction, facilities, snow and ice, field services and other labor- and equipment-intensive businesses.

The Person Who Will Thrive Here
You naturally ask:

Who owns it? What's the number? Why did we miss? What's the root cause? What's the plan? When will it be fixed?

Then you follow up.

You develop people instead of doing their jobs for them. You bring solutions instead of excuses. You can challenge the organization respectfully and remain calm when things get complicated.

  • $105,000+ base salary, based on experience
  • Management Incentive Program
  • Company vehicle
  • Health insurance options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Additional company benefits

At Landscapes Unlimited, leaders exist to build people, improve systems, solve problems before they become crises, and leave the business better than they found it.

  • We measure leadership by the strength of the team, the effectiveness of the systems, and the results the organization consistently produces.
