Responsibilities

Location: Greensboro, NC

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 + Annual Bonus + Equity

Position Overview

Our client, a global leader in veterinary diagnostics, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead a high-volume laboratory operation in Greensboro, NC.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing large teams, multiple levels of management, multiple shifts, budgets, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proven operations leader who knows how to develop people, improve processes, manage through change, and drive measurable results in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day operations for a high-volume veterinary diagnostic laboratory.
  • Manage and develop managers and supervisors while providing leadership across multiple shifts and departments.
  • Establish and track KPIs around quality, productivity, turnaround time, safety, and financial performance.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets and financial objectives.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Build a culture of accountability, employee engagement, development, and retention.
  • Coach and develop leaders while strengthening overall team performance.

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing large, high-volume operations.
  • Experience leading operations across multiple shifts.
  • Proven experience managing managers, supervisors, and large frontline teams.
  • Strong background in employee development, performance management, and engagement.
  • Experience managing operational budgets and financial performance.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence programs.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through organizational change and growth.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with both senior leadership and frontline employees.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Tableau, and related business tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Laboratory, healthcare, diagnostics, manufacturing, distribution, or similar high-volume operational experience.
  • Experience implementing large-scale process improvements.
  • Experience leading operations through periods of rapid growth or transformation.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $150,000–$170,000 base salary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
