Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across multiple pediatric primary care offices and lead a large team of supervisors and managers.

You will drive scheduling, billing, medical records management, and HR-related activities, while managing budgets and implementing region-wide quality initiatives to improve patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates degree required; five years healthcare leadership experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certificate in Healthcare Management or similar credential within 2 years of role.
  • Five years of healthcare leadership experience managing multiple facilities, sites, or programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of multiple pediatric primary care offices, including scheduling, billing, and medical records management.
  • Oversee people management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, performance evaluations, and rewards.
  • Manage operating budget for each pediatric primary care office, including revenue projections, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Assist Regional Manager with operational, HR, and quality functions across the region.
  • Responsible for pilot and rollout of initiatives with high impact.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Monitor KPIs related to patient satisfaction, appointment wait times, and clinical outcomes.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Other duties assigned.

Summary

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of multiple pediatric care offices and a large team of non-exempt and exempt direct reports including supervisors and managers.



Responsibilities


  • 1. Manage day-to-day operations of multiple pediatric primary care offices, including scheduling, billing, and medical records management.

  • 2. Oversee people management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, performance evaluations, and rewards.

  • 3. Manage operating budget for each pediatric primary care office, including revenue projections, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.

  • 4. Assist Regional Manager with operational, HR, and quality functions across the region.

  • 5. Responsible for pilot and rollout of initiatives that have high level impact.

  • 6. Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.

  • 7. Monitor key performance indicators related to patient satisfaction, appointment wait times, and clinical outcomes.

Education and Experience


  • 1. Education: Associates degree required. In lieu of an Associate's degree, minimum five years of experience in healthcare leadership is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2. Licensure: N/A

  • 3. Certification: Certificate in Healthcare Management required within 2 years of the role.

  • 4. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare leadership, managing multiple healthcare facilities, sites, or programs required.
