McCownGordon Construction is seeking a senior operations leader to ensure execution excellence across field and office teams. You will align goals with budgets, contracts, and performance metrics while engaging executives and partners from pursuit through close-out.

The role emphasizes staffing, risk management, and strong relationships with owners, design teams, trade partners, and suppliers to drive project success and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive construction supervision experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience with projects valued over $50 million.
• Ability to set objectives and monitor performance.
• Experience negotiating contracts, conducting risk analysis, procurement, scheduling, and costing.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Projects and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates across field, office, and self-performed craft to assure execution excellence.
• Lead staffing discussions based on current and upcoming project load.
• Set expectations and build relationships with owners, design teams, trade partners, and suppliers.
• Resolve complex project challenges while protecting client and partner relationships.
• Partner with Safety, QA/QC, IT, HR, and other departments to mitigate risk and improve profit.
• Analyze trends and use data to drive improvements and align with company initiatives.
• Participate in project reviews, budget, schedule, and quality adherence; develop recovery plans.
• Review labor projections and ensure cost alignment with budgets.
• Forecast annual revenue and profitability of the self-perform market sector.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on WIP, projections, and performance.
