Job summary

NxEdge, an Enpro company, seeks an Operations Manager for the McGregor machining facility in Boise, Idaho. You will lead precision machining and Small Hole Drilling operations, ensuring safe, efficient production aligned with quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field
• 10–15 years of manufacturing experience with a supervisory or management role
• Experience in precision machining or complex engineered products
• Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, or other high-precision regulated environments preferred
• Lean manufacturing, 5S, standard work, continuous improvement, and root cause problem solving; Lean Six Sigma is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for the McGregor machining facility, including CNC machining, production scheduling support, work center performance, and Small Hole Drilling Automation Line production activities.
• Drive performance against safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, productivity, and employee engagement objectives.
• Ensure operations comply with Enpro and NxEdge policies, procedures, compliance, and safety expectations.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team across supervisors, leads, machinists, technicians, and support personnel.
• Partner with HR on staffing, performance, development, succession planning, and organizational capability needs.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new product introduction, routing accuracy, process documentation, cycle time validation, and production transfer.
• Support Small Hole Drilling Execution with readiness, staffing, training alignment, and cross-functional coordination.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams for qualification activities and ramp plans.
• Promote Lean, 5S, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement across the facility.
