Our team of approximately 80,000 employees keeps the lights on for people around the world. We've installed approximately 7,000 gas turbines for customers operating in over 100 countries, powering more than a third of the world to deliver brighter cities, stronger economies, and a better-connected world. The Operations Leader will work directly with the Plant Leader to drive operational excellence, standard work, and execution across the Greenville Gas Power plant. This role will serve as a key partner to the Plant Leader in translating business strategy into clear operating priorities, establishing consistent management systems, and driving accountability across the organization. This is a high-visibility, high-potential leadership role designed for an experienced manufacturing leader who is capable of taking on broader enterprise leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to the Gas Power business, plant operations, functional organizations, customers, and strategic priorities while directly partnering with the Plant Leader on critical business initiatives. The role is intentionally designed to provide a strong foundation for future manufacturing leadership opportunities. In addition to supporting the daily operating rhythm of the plant, the Operations Leader will own several strategic initiatives that provide exposure to different aspects of the business, develop enterprise relationships, and build the business knowledge required for future manufacturing leadership opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with the Plant Leader to establish and execute plant priorities, operating rhythms, and leadership standard work.
  • Drive consistency and discipline in the plant operating system, including daily management, visual management, tiered accountability, escalation, and performance reviews.
  • Work across functional and operational teams to ensure priorities are understood, actions are clearly owned, and commitments are executed.
  • Establish and sustain leader standard work across the plant, helping leaders focus their time on the activities that drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance.
  • Identify gaps in operating performance and drive structured problem solving and follow-through across the organization.
  • Support the Plant Leader in preparing and executing key business reviews, operating reviews, and leadership meetings.
  • Partner with Lean, Quality, EHS, Materials, Engineering, and Operations leaders to drive common operating standards and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects identified by the Plant Leader, with responsibility for developing the strategy, engaging stakeholders, and delivering measurable results.
  • Support plant-wide transformation efforts including Lean, 5S, quality improvement, productivity, capacity, automation, digital manufacturing, and organizational capability.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Plant Leader, bringing data, insights, and recommendations to complex business decisions.
  • Build relationships across the Greenville site and broader Gas Power organization and represent the plant in cross-functional and cross-site forums.
  • Develop a broad understanding of the Gas Power business, products, customers, value streams, and functional organizations.
  • Help connect strategy to execution by ensuring plant priorities translate into clear actions and sustained results at the shop-floor level.

  • Experience establishing operating systems, standard work, performance management, and structured problem solving.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex business initiatives and driving measurable results.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position is an on-site role at our GE Gas Power Greenville, SC location.
