Job summary

Aramark in Washington, DC seeks a General Manager to plan, manage, and guide multiple contracted services for a client typically generating $2–15M in revenue, with a focus on achieving operating and financial goals.

You will lead a team delivering services such as food service, facility support, custodial, retail, lodging, and transportation, building client relationships, ensuring safety, and driving performance with strong budget and contract awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management.
• Strong client and customer service focus with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and senior management.
• Experience leading teams and managing department budgets.
• Ability to interpret contracts and identify improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team that provides operational expertise in contracted services and hands-on execution management of operations.
• Manages client and community relationships, assesses operations, and plans for optimal service and drive satisfaction.
• Builds and leads a management team capable of achieving organizational objectives.
• Recommends methods, resources, and implementation for service improvement based on contract terms and obligations.
• In partnership with Finance, manages a budget and helps design improvements to optimize financial performance.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations and maintains required records.
• Upholds Aramark's standards of operation including safety standards and Business Conduct Policy.
