Job summary

Axzon in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to oversee production and qualification of wireless, passive-sensor products. You will lead a small team, coordinating with engineering, quality, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure on-time, cost-effective production.

The role requires a strong hands-on background in semiconductor product engineering and operations, with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to solving problems and delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, operations, manufacturing, or related field.
• Excellent communication and management skills, with ability to work with engineers, executives, suppliers and partners.
• RFID inlay manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience across outsourced/overseas semiconductor manufacturing; product testing and hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Lead product test and hardware development activities from qualification to production, driving yield and reliability.
• Own relationships with outsourced and overseas manufacturing partners and suppliers; lead supplier qualification and audits.
• Oversee quality assurance activities, including product and device qualifications and supplier performance.
• Manage ERP/MRP, WIP tracking, inventory planning, and supplier forecasting to balance cost, delivery and quality.
• Lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams and external partners to move products from qualification to production.
