Job summary

Wilton Re is seeking an experienced AVP of Operations to join our Connecticut team with hybrid work options in Norwalk, CT or fully remote. This role focuses on leading acquisition integrations and ongoing in‑force management across life, annuity, and LTC products.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in life and annuity operations, strong project leadership, risk analysis, and excellent communication. University degree in finance or business required; SQL skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the life and annuity insurance industry with a focus in operations and project leadership
• Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
• Superior influencing and relationship management skills
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask with strong time management
• Experience collaborating with finance, controls, IT, and third‑party management

Responsibilities

• Acquisition Integration: support legal entity purchases or reinsurance transactions, track requests, analyze expenses, document risk assessments
• Structure and manage transition plans across functional areas from pre‑closing to post‑transition
• Coordinate activities across Wilton Re and external parties to ensure operational effectiveness
• Oversee data conversion, system modification, and business process conversion planning
• Assist in issue resolution and risk mitigation during transition and conversion
• In Force Management: monitor third parties, track SLAs, and support reporting for in force activities
• Project Management: break down scope, define goals, establish plans with milestones and dependencies
• Communicate project expectations to owners, sponsors, and team members
