Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced manufacturing operations leader in Rockford, IL to direct a large team across two shifts and set long-term objectives for productivity and quality. You will drive production scheduling, sequencing, and process improvements while overseeing materials and logistics.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years with an advanced degree, 3+ years of leading managers, and SAP familiarity; travel may be up to 10%.

Qualifications

• University Degree required with 10+ years experience, or Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Minimum 3+ years experience leading direct reports in manufacturing operations.
• Experience with Six-Sigma / CORE and lean manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of manufacturing operations professionals across two shifts.
• Direct scheduling, sequencing, and production optimization.
• Manage quality, materials, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive cost reduction and process improvements for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Partner with customers to understand needs and ensure service excellence.
• Oversee shop floor management, maintenance, engineering, and planning.
• Travel to support business needs up to 10%.
