Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Logistics Manager – Aftermarket Distribution Center in Rockford, IL. You will lead a critical operation, drive DC performance, and manage salaried and union employees while aligning with safety, cost, and customer satisfaction goals.

Role requires 8+ years in logistics or related fields and a proven track record in budgeting, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. Onsite role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• University degree and 8+ years of experience or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in logistics, warehouse, distribution center, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience leading logistics/warehouse teams in manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of SAP, NetSuite, or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Manage Distribution Center operations with a strategic focus on efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement, managing both salaried and union team members.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees to build high-performing teams aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor and direct daily operations to ensure on-time shipping, receiving, and repackaging that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Communicate and report order status and Distribution Center activities to other departments in a clear and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety, EH&S, and policy procedures.
• Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to meet or exceed performance metrics.
• Oversee facility and equipment maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and financial goals.
