Job summary

Forterra is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Operations Analytics to lead the end‑to‑end analytics stack for operations. You’ll design and deploy data infrastructure, predictive models, and reporting that drive sales & operations planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization.

You will own the data pipelines, governance, and an executive‑level analytics suite, partnering with Finance, Sales, and Operations to provide real‑time visibility into demand signals and constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science, analytics engineering, or operations/revenue analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience building forecasting models and data pipelines in a production environment.
• Ability to translate complex model outputs into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the end-to-end analytics stack for operations, including data infrastructure, models, and reporting.
• Build and own ETL pipelines, data quality, and governance.
• Develop demand forecasting and S&OP models for capacity, procurement, and production planning.
• Create and maintain an operations reporting suite with dashboards and KPI tracking.
• Analyze inventory, lead times, supplier performance, and capacity utilization.
• Develop scenario models to evaluate cost impacts of design changes and sourcing decisions.
