Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business, or related field.
• Five years of relevant operational tax, property tax, fuel tax, mileage tax, indirect tax, or state and local tax experience required.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional returns, tax payments, audits, and advising business partners.
• Strong Excel, data analysis, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review property tax returns, renditions, and filings.
• Oversee property tax bills, reconciliations, and payments.
• Coordinate fuel, mileage, highway use, and related tax returns.
• Manage payments, reconciliations, and accounting entries for tax obligations.
• Oversee third party inputs and potential insourcing opportunities.
• Identify recurring issues and improve procedures and controls.
• Research tax requirements and provide guidance to multiple teams.
• Gather records for audits, notices, or information requests.
• Analyze assessments, penalties, and prepare responses for management.
