Job summary

CFS seeks a Senior Operations Accountant in Houston to blend traditional accounting with operational analytics and business partnering.

You will influence budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting across divisions, partnering with operations, logistics, maintenance, finance, and accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• 3 - 5+ years of accounting, finance, or related analytical experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and forecast future performance.
• Monitor division revenue, costs, KPIs, and financial performance against budget.
• Support monthly close activities through the collection and reporting of critical financial information.
• Prepare variance analyses and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
• Develop and maintain management reporting for divisional and executive leadership.
• Support internal controls, audits, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
