Job summary

Taylor White is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen our financial management function. You will support accurate reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and deliver meaningful analysis to guide business decisions.

You will lead day-to-day accounting activities, oversee the general ledger, and mentor junior staff while driving process improvements and ensuring tight internal controls.

Qualifications

• At least five years of accounting experience, including two in a lead or supervisory role.
• Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, reporting standards, and budgeting concepts.
• Proficient with accounting software and advanced Excel; ERP exposure is beneficial.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate core financial reports (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow).
• Maintain general ledger, month-end close, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Lead payables and receivables, including invoicing, approvals, and collections.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
• Ensure internal controls and assist with audits and process improvements.
• Provide financial insights to leadership and supervise junior staff.

The Senior Accountant is a key contributor to the organization’s financial management function. This position is responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with established accounting guidelines, and delivering meaningful analysis to guide business decisions. The successful candidate will bring solid accounting experience, strong analytical capability, and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven setting.

Key Duties

• Produce and evaluate core financial reports such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statements, ensuring integrity and alignment with standard accounting practices.
• Maintain the general ledger by handling entries, reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, and month-end close activities while ensuring proper documentation.
• Lead day-to-day payables and receivables operations, including invoice handling, approvals, and collections efforts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by tracking actuals against projections and explaining variances.
• Uphold internal controls and financial policies; assist with audit processes and help implement recommended improvements.
• Perform detailed financial reviews to uncover trends, discrepancies, and cost-efficiency opportunities, and translate findings into practical recommendations for leadership.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, including coaching and review of their work.
• Evaluate and refine accounting workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Compile and communicate financial insights and reports for leadership, stakeholders, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is advantageous.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience, including two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, reporting standards, and financial planning concepts.
• Comfortable working with accounting platforms and advanced Excel; exposure to ERP environments is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and resolve issues effectively.
• High level of precision and attention to detail.
• Capable of managing competing priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across teams.
