Job summary

Ultipro in Oregon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, test, and repair hospital Physical Plant systems on a full-time, on-site basis. The role emphasizes HVAC, electrical, and plumbing operations within a healthcare setting.

The position requires 3 years of maintenance experience, an Oregon driver's license, and knowledge of building codes. You’ll work independently and with staff to ensure safe, reliable operations and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in maintenance, electrical or mechanical field required.
• Possession of valid Oregon driver’s license.
• Knowledge of methods and techniques used in electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical and building codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, adjusts and repairs all Physical Plant machinery, heating, cooling, and piping and electrical systems as directed and records maintenance in accordance with schedules.
• Operates and maintains all Physical plant machinery and equipment.
• Performs basic HVAC repairs and replaces filters.
• Constructs and repairs building structure, walls, floor, ceiling, cabinets and furniture.
• Tests and operates emergency generators.
• Inspects, tests and cleans fire equipment as directed.
• Inspects, adjusts and repairs miscellaneous hospital equipment including exam tables, gurneys, autoclaves, centrifuge.
• Maintains record of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Performs security checks of building, parking lot and equipment.
• Removes ice and snow from walkways, roads, and parking lot during winter months.
• Responds to safety and security calls.
• Inventories orders and changes medical gases and LOX.
• Maintains competency in all position responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Three (3) years’ experience in maintenance, electrical or mechanical field required; Possession of valid Oregon driver’s license; excellent driving record and ability to be insured by the hospital’s auto insurance policy; Knowledge of methods and techniques used in electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance; Knowledge of electrical and building codes preferred.
