Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a highly experienced OpenStack engineer to join the Private Cloud Professional Services team. The role focuses on managing a production-grade OpenStack private cloud, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stability, performance, and security in a compliance-driven environment.

The position is on-site in Riyadh, KSA. Responsibilities include OpenStack deployment, Kubernetes orchestration, automation development, and continuous improvement of cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Strong Linux system administration experience and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Hands-on OpenStack deployment, configuration, and management.

Responsibilities

• OpenStack deployment and management across private cloud infrastructure.
• Kubernetes orchestration: cluster deployment and application management.
• Integration of OpenStack and Kubernetes with automation for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.
• Performance monitoring and optimisation of OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
• Security and compliance within OpenStack/Kubernetes setups.
• Documentation of configurations, procedures and regular performance reports.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support cloud and container environments.
