Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the OpenSearch Security team in Austin, TX. You will help design, implement, and secure a cloud-scale search and analytics platform used by AWS customers and the open-source community.

The role focuses on security features, data storage and performance challenges, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support security for a cloud-scale platform.
• Build technologies to strengthen security posture in AWS Cloud.
• Work on core of OpenSearch service and contribute to open source.
• Tackle challenges in data storage, query optimization, JVM performance, security, ML, and more.
• Collaborate with plugin teams to meet host logging security requirements.
• Help define vision and objectives for AWS OpenSearch aligned with customer needs.
