Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience mentoring, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Experience building search applications on OpenSearch, Solr, Cassandra, MongoDB, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software with the open source community and AWS stakeholders on Apache Lucene and OpenSearch.
• Produce robust, maintainable code in Java, C/C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to implement best practices and maintain high quality contributions.
• Engage with developers and management to operationalize releases with monitoring and testing.
