Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Level Designer to join the Cyberpunk 2 effort. You will design, prototype, and polish in-game levels using Unreal Engine 5, blending narrative with engaging gameplay across an open world.

You will mentor teammates, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure levels support the game’s story and pacing. This role offers hybrid/remote options and a competitive US salary range for North America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Level Designer or similar role.
• Experience with Unreal Engine or other 3D packages.
• Strong knowledge of level design fundamentals and the role of level design in player experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to create map layouts and in-engine levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, iterate, and polish levels using Unreal Engine 5.
• Craft spaces where gameplay flow and visuals form memorable experiences.
• Develop level metrics and ensure cohesion with game narrative.
• Collaborate with Lead Level Designer and cross-functional team members.
• Mentor less experienced Level Design team members.
• Proactively share feedback across disciplines.
