Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking a Heavy Haul Driver II to operate a class 8 tractor-trailer, transporting oversized equipment safely to destinations with strict compliance to FMCSA rules. You will load/unload, secure loads, and maintain logs while keeping clear communication with dispatch and customers.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and the ability to pass physical and assessments. Expect extensive travel and teamwork with 100% travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, plus 1 year college/technical training or equivalent experience.
• Must have Class A CDL with DOT Medical Card as verified by MVR.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to read and write basic instructions and memos.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment physical and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Drive class 8 tractor-trailer (Open Deck) up to 6 axles.
• Transport machinery and materials to specified destinations.
• Load and unload cargo; ensure securement per FMCSA and company policy.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Maintain electronic logs according to regulations.
• Communicate load status to supervisor and dispatch.
• Follow safety protocols and protect customer confidentiality.
• Interact with customers and vendors as needed.
