Job summary

Warren CAT is hiring a Heavy Haul Driver II in Abilene, TX. The role involves driving a Class 8 tractor-trailer (Open Deck) to transport machinery and materials to and from destinations, with up to 6 axles and 60,000 pounds loads.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, secure loads, and maintain electronic logs while coordinating with dispatchers. A CDL, DOT medical card, and flexibility in schedule are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; one year college/technical training or equivalent experience.
• Class A CDL license verified through MVR and DOT Physical.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to make timely independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment physical and Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Drive class 8 tractor/trailer (Open Deck) with up to 6 axles.
• Haul over-size and over-weight machines (up to 60,000 pounds).
• Load and unload cargo; secure according to Warren CAT requirements.
