Job summary

You will mentor team members and serve as the first point of contact for operational issues. Required are 5+ years in freight forwarding operations, experience with breakbulk, RORO, and OOG shipments, and proficiency in CargoWise.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of operations experience in project freight forwarding is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OOG import and export shipments.
• Issue delivery orders to trucking carriers and warehouses.
• Ensure cargo is delivered on time and customer is kept informed of any changes or delays.
• Help to mentor and train fellow team members on OOG cargo operations.
• Be the first point of contact for team operational issues that need to be escalated to project manager.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Obtain and negotiate quotes from vendors.
