Job summary

Energy Northwest in Richland, WA seeks a senior engineer to provide independent engineering services and support for highly complex tasks, including design modifications, operations, and independent assessments. You will act as an advisor and provide technical leadership across projects.

The role requires onsite work in Richland, 12-hour outage shifts, and on-call support as part of the engineering duty cycle. A PE license or equivalent degree is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Seven years of engineering experience; or PE license with years of experience.
• Alternative path: Bachelor’s in Engineering and three years of discipline-specific experience.
• High school diploma or GED acceptable with PE license and required experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations and assessments.
• Work with minimal supervision and provide technical leadership.
• Serve as advisor and mentor on specialized engineering projects.
• Lead small groups to resolve complex issues and train others.
• Develop new policies and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance; interpret guidance for application.
• Identify potential problems and initiate corrective action.
