Job summary

AbbVie in the United States (Illinois) seeks a Senior Research Statistician in Statistics to provide statistical support for drug discovery and development programs. You will design, analyze, and report on clinical trials in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to advance medicines to patients.

You will perform complex analyses, develop data-collection instruments, and ensure accurate interpretation and presentation of results, contributing to publications and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics.
• 4+ years of experience performing statistical computations and simulations.
• Experience with pharma clinical trials (internship or employment).
• Experience in oncology is preferred.
• High degree of technical competence and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials or other scientific research studies.
• Assist with development of protocols and analysis plans with details for programming implementation.
• Perform statistical analyses per the analysis plan and collaborate to ensure timely high-quality outputs.
• Develop strategy for data presentation and inference and contribute to publications.
• Work with cross-functional teams and explain statistical concepts clearly to non-statisticians.
