Senior Oncology Specialist
What You Will Do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role, you will be the liaison to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals.

Amgen Oncology is dedicated to helping patients confront tough cancers, including drug-resistant, rapidly progressing, and limited-treatment cancers. Our supportive care treatments help patients manage side effects of chemotherapy, and our targeted medicines and immunotherapies focus on various malignancies, from blood cancers to solid tumors. With decades of experience, Amgen continues to expand its portfolio of innovative oncology medicines.

You will act as the primary customer contact, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products, and effectively communicating their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing programs, scheduling medical educational events, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Utilize relationships to service accounts, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain contracts.
  • Develop marketing strategies to drive sales.
  • Analyze sales effectiveness and territory performance, and develop territory plans with your District Manager.
  • Maintain passion for our products and our mission to serve patients throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and foster continuous learning.
  • Leverage your oncology knowledge and awareness of industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to meet goals.
What We Expect Of You

We value diverse contributions to serve patients. The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience
  • OR an Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience
  • OR a High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales/marketing experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare, or medical devices
  • Oncology experience
  • Experience in hospital or product sales within oncology or related fields
  • Local market knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business
  • Core competencies including planning, communication, results-driven, and relationship-building

Salary range in the U.S.: $155,195 to $179,347, based on skills and experience.
