Job summary
AbbVie Inc. is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior MSL to strategically support research and business objectives across a designated geography.
You will be the primary science communicator to healthcare professionals, developing deep relationships and providing comprehensive medical and scientific support throughout product lifecycles. Ideal candidates will bring advanced scientific training, 3+ years in a related role for Senior MSL, and an ability to travel up to 75%.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for a Senior MSL.
- Must be able to identify, analyze, and translate territory and corporate needs.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; excellent written/verbal communication.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and teaching skills; able to work independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers.
- Present scientific information about disease state and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals.
- Support research initiatives and investigator-initiated projects within AbbVie departments.
- Prepare market strategies in new therapeutic areas and build AbbVie relationships in the medical community.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop account plans aligning with business objectives.
