Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Sr. Coding Quality Analyst to join our Coding Department in Richardson, TX. Hybrid schedule with a Monday–Friday, 8:30a–5:00p workweek and level-1 based on experience.

The role focuses on comprehensive coding reviews, audits, and investigations across CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM guidelines, payer requirements, and workflow processes. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential to drive remediation and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years of experience in professional coding, coding audit, or related Revenue Cycle function.
  • Experience in oncology coding and related specialties preferred.
  • Current professional coding certification required (CPC, CCS-P, COC, RHIA, RHIT) and auditing credential.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD‑10‑CM and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex reviews and investigations of coding, documentation, billing, and systems.
  • Evaluate and scope reviews, identify root cause, and determine corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve issues and communicate outcomes.
  • Prepare reports with findings, actions, and closure status.
  • Maintain knowledge of coding guidance and regulatory requirements.
