Job summary

University of Utah is seeking a Clinical Project Manager III to coordinate all aspects of clinical studies from initiation through delivery. You will build relationships with sponsors, investigators, and staff, managing documentation, regulatory compliance, and study progress.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure timelines and budgets are met, and mentor junior staff while developing SOPs and training materials to improve efficiency across oncology trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience.
• 6 years of directly related work experience for PM III or 4 years with master’s.
• Experience in oncology clinical research preferred.
• SOCRA or ACRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports Principal Investigators and study staff with patient screening/enrollment and data submission.
• Ensures quality source documents and protocol compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitors eligibility, protocol requirements and data submission deadlines.
• Oversees monitoring/auditing reports and resolves issues in a timely manner.
• Mentors junior staff and provides coverage plans for the team.
• Develops educational materials on coordination and data completion processes.
• Oversees start-up activities and workload/resources for the team.
• Develops and enforces SOPs and Work Practice Documents.
• Ensures AE/SAE reporting and deviation reporting completeness.
• Manages staff performance and updates operating procedures.
• Assumes additional assignments as directed by the Program Manager.
