Job summary

University of Utah is seeking a seasoned administrator to oversee the administrative, financial, personnel, and technical functions of a cancer research program. You will organize duties, supervise staff, and advise department leadership on program activities.

Responsibilities include supporting PI and team in trial management, ensuring regulatory compliance, mentoring junior staff, and developing SOPs to improve workflow and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years related experience required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in oncology clinical trials is beneficial.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise study staff and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Supports PI and staff with patient screening, enrollment, data submission, and trial maintenance.
• Ensures protocol compliance within regulatory guidelines and standards.
• Monitors eligibility, data submission, and delinquency rates; oversees QA.
• Oversees staff performance, provides mentorship, and maintains staffing plans.
• Develops SOPs and WPDs; ensures start-up activities and CDA/Feasibility reviews.
• Coordinates with sponsors and IRB on reporting and compliance.
