Job summary

BioPhase Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide strategic and hands-on leadership for oncology drug development from preclinical development through early-phase clinical trials.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to shape clinical strategies, oversee study execution, safety monitoring, and data interpretation, advancing therapies through proof of concept. The ideal candidate will oversee regulatory submissions and work with investigators, CROs, and industry

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree; oncology/hematology specialization preferred.
• Board certified or eligible.
• Extensive pharma/biotech oncology clinical development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead oncology development programs from preclinical stages through Phase I/II clinical trials.
• Develop and execute clinical development strategies including design, endpoints, and biomarkers.
• Provide medical oversight of trials, safety monitoring, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Collaborate with Research, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Safety, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support regulatory submissions, including INDs, and participate in health authority interactions.
• Evaluate clinical data to guide program decisions, development priorities, and next steps.
• Build relationships with investigators, external advisors, CROs, and industry partners.
• Communicate program progress, clinical findings, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor clinical development team members and support overall program execution.
