Pathos in New York City is seeking a Senior Computational Biologist with a focus on oncology and translational genomics to own genomics and biomarker pipelines across early-stage trials.

You will translate deep genomic and multi-omic data into actionable insights for clinicians, program teams, and leadership, shaping trial design and patient stratification. This is a hybrid role with impact on biomarker strategy and trial outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in computational biology, cancer genomics, bioinformatics, or related field.
• 5+ years in pharma/biotech oncology translational, biomarker, or early clinical (Phase 1/2) setting.
• Hands-on RNA-seq and DNA variant analysis in clinical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead, and maintain translational genomics pipelines (RNA-seq, DNA variants, multi-omics) for oncology programs.
• Lead biomarker discovery and validation across preclinical, translational, and clinical data.
• Analyze and interpret Phase 1/2 trial biomarker data linking molecular profiles to response, durability, and safety.
• Partner with clinical, translational, and regulatory teams to define biomarker strategies for protocols and trial decisions.
• Translate multimodal model outputs into actionable recommendations for development teams and leadership.
• Contribute to cross-program biomarker standards and reproducible analysis frameworks.
