Waymo LLC is seeking a graphics-focused software engineer to own and advance 3D visualization systems for in-car infotainment. You will drive the rendering pipeline, optimize shaders, and implement new visuals for perception scenarios on Android-based platforms.

Applicants should have strong C++ and shader skills, plus experience with OpenGL ES or Vulkan, and a background in real-time visualization on mobile/embedded systems. This hybrid role reports to an Engineering Manager.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with mobile/embedded platforms and rendering engines.

Aufgaben

• Own the technical implementation of 3D visualization systems on onboard infotainment platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of the 3D rendering pipeline for the 3D Car View on Android-based in-car system using C++ and Kotlin via JNI.
• Integrate visual assets, optimize shader performance, and implement new visual indicators for perception scenarios.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and optimize performance on resource-constrained hardware.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX/UI designers to translate perception data into fluid animations.
