Motional is seeking a Senior Engineer for its In-Car Visualization team in a role that blends hands-on development with system-wide impact. You will own visualization solutions that touch customers and internal tools, collaborating across Autonomy, Perception and Mapping to deliver robust, scalable interfaces.

The ideal candidate brings strong C++/Java skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to work with ownership and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C++ or Java.
• Clear communication skills and cross-functional capabilities.
• Ability to work with high ownership and autonomy.
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and delegate to other engineers at various levels of relative seniority.
• A well-established technical design and documentation habit.
• Capability to work directly with customers to identify needs.

Responsibilities

• Own, architect and implement visualization solutions that reach every one of Motional’s customers.
• Collaborate with a wide variety of teams and disciplines within the company, including but not limited to: Autonomy, Perception and Mapping.
• Contribute to other applications that handle visualization for internal, on vehicle use.
• Enhance and own best practices with regards to automated testing of user interfaces.
• Drive best practices around performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Ship quickly and iterate in a product driven environment.
• Design initiative experiences for complex, data-heavy workflows.
