Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to direct on-site workflows, uphold safety and quality standards, and act as the primary site leader on projects.

The role requires coordinating with subcontractors, managing schedules, and maintaining detailed site documentation. Candidates should have 5+ years in commercial construction, a four-year degree preferred, and OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree strongly preferred in construction, engineering, or business.
• In lieu of a degree, substantial relevant work experience acceptable.
• 5+ years in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and administering the HITT safety program for all subcontractors.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
• Lead on-site safety, managing a safe jobsite for all involved.
• Maintain daily log of all activities and site conditions, manage punch list and closeout.
• Collaborate with the project manager to formulate the project schedule and sequencing.
• Foster good relationships with subcontractors and ensure fair treatment.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and identify issues early.
• Organize site team and arrange temporary facilities/utilities; expedite long-lead items.
• Collaborate with project manager and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.
