Job summary

CORE Construction Services of Florida, LLC is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in the Fort Lauderdale area. The role emphasizes safety, schedule, quality, and client service, leading trade partners and coordination with design/owner teams.

Travel across South Florida is required; strong supervisory experience is essential. Pay will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years construction experience.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing.
Understanding of ASI’s RFIs and Material Submittals.

Responsibilities

Site logistics planning and coordination of the construction site.
Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors.
Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices and Lean building methods.
Facilitating subcontractor coordination and ensuring quality control.
Working with design team and owner to address challenges and unforeseen conditions.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and submittals.
Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates.
Own the closeout process and punch list.
Provide overall team leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
