Job summary

Pacific Rim is seeking an experienced Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction, overseeing subcontractors, materials, and safety to ensure on-time, quality completion. The role requires a Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering background, 10+ years in construction, and at least 5 years as a superintendent, with strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in construction with 5+ years as superintendent.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and safety compliance.
• Strong understanding of drawings and specifications.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor, assistants, foremen, subcontractors.
• Assist Sr. Project Manager in overall construction effort per design, budget, quality, schedule.
• Provide technical assistance interpreting drawings and construction methods.
• Manage field operations to deliver quality and timely project completion.
• Inspect contractor/Subcontract operations for contract compliance.
• Review and approve trade contractor payment applications with PM.
• Maintain relationships with Owner, Architect/Engineer and partners.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan with PM.
• Lead quality assurance & controls; conduct inspections.
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
• Monitor costs including labor time and materials.
• Enforce Safety and Health Management Program; mentor others.
• Prepare detailed short-term schedules and ensure activities align with dates.
• Submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports documenting weather, manpower, progress, incidents.
• Lead weekly project meetings and attend subcontractor meetings.
