Job summary
SWIB seeks an experienced financial services contractor specializing in business systems engineering and OMS support. The role focuses on configuring and implementing a main platform for portfolio management, trading, compliance, and operations, with direct OMS experience across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternatives.
The contractor will lead integration, enhancements, and support of OMS with other applications, and train staff to build internal capabilities.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in the investment management industry with buy-side firms.
- Experience with OMS/EMS applications and ROI-driven improvements.
- Charles River experience preferred; knowledge of multiple OMS.
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s or credentials preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication at all levels within an investment firm.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate OMS applications available in the market.
- Lead implementation, enhancement, and support of OMS integration.
- Knowledge of various ETL mechanisms in the market.
- Collaborate with investment management, operations, data, and tech teams.
- Improve platform functionality and efficiency during migration.
- Evaluate, plan, and execute enhancements and workflow optimizations.
- Leverage experience with third-party OMS to implement standard practices.
- Troubleshoot and support custom workflows focused on front office.
- Train staff to build internal knowledge within SWIB.
