Job summary

Unicon Systems is seeking a Senior Okta Consultant to join our Tampa, FL team. The role focuses on designing and implementing Okta IAM solutions for enterprise clients, including SSO, MFA, and API access management.

You will act as SME, translate requirements into technical IAM solutions, and mentor junior consultants. The position is remote, with a strong emphasis on client engagement, security best practices, and staying current with Okta product updates and Zero Trust frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IAM experience with hands-on Okta deployments.
• Okta Certified Consultant/Administrator/Developer preferred.
• Proficiency with SSO protocols: SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC.
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Azure AD.
• Experience with API integrations and scripting.
• Strong client-facing consulting skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.

• Lead Okta deployments including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and API Access Management
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Okta platform capabilities, integrations, and best practices
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical IAM solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Okta configuration and integration issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and runbooks
• Mentor junior consultants and provide guidance on IAM strategy and Okta platform adoption
• Stay current with Okta product updates, security trends, and Zero Trust frameworks

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in identity and access management (IAM) with hands-on Okta implementation experience
• Okta Certified Consultant, Administrator, or Developer certification strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Okta Workforce Identity and/or Customer Identity (CIAM) solutions
• Experience with SSO protocols including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• Strong understanding of directory services such as Active Directory, LDAP, and Azure AD
• Experience with API integrations, scripting (PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript), and REST APIs
• Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
