Job summary

Sable Offshore Corp is seeking a Process Control Engineer to support the safe, reliable operation of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities in California. The role covers DCS, PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, RTUs, networks, and automation systems across offshore platforms and onshore processing facilities.

The engineer will work with Operations, Production Engineering, Facilities Engineering, I&E, Maintenance, and SCADA teams to improve process reliability, alarm management, and automation performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 10+ years of experience in oil & gas operations, process controls, or automation.
• Experience with offshore and/or onshore facilities is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain DCS, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, RTUs, networks and automation infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize production processes and facility performance.
• Troubleshoot control systems, instrumentation, analyzers, and process issues.
• Configure, modify, test, and commission DCS logic, alarms, historian points, and sequences.
• Develop and implement control strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Support startup, commissioning, and turnaround activities for facilities and platforms.
• Coordinate with Operations, I&E, Maintenance, and contractors to resolve issues.
