Job summary

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited is seeking a Process Control Engineer in Lake Charles, LA to support unit operations by maintaining and enhancing control strategies and assets. You will provide technical support for PLCs, DCS systems, and Safety Instrumented Systems to improve production efficiency and safety.

The role requires a B.S. in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in petrochemical or refining facilities, with proficiency in SAP and common office tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience in process controls/operations.
• Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with DCS and PLCs; control systems knowledge in petrochemical/refining environments.
• Process Hazard Analysis and LOPA experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance process control applications and assets.
• Develop, modify, and tune control strategies for assigned units.
• Support safety instrumented systems and PLCs across units.
• Collaborate with process engineering to meet production, quality, and energy targets.
• Lead alarm management reviews and operator training on control changes.
