Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) OEMS Support seeks a Senior Associate to support client/server based processes and trade flows. You will monitor, triage and resolve production issues while communicating clearly with demanding clients across time zones.

You will bring a degree in CS/MIS/Finance and strong Unix/Linux, SQL and networking skills, plus experience with front/mloor/back-office environments and Excel. A collaborative global team and growth opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, MIS or Finance with proven technology skills
• Experience in application support for BUY/SELL side front, mid or back office or trade floor
• Motivated self-starter with good communication and ownership of issues
• Ability to work independently on complex tasks with little supervision
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills; able to present tech to non-technical audience
• Experience triaging and solving problems in large-scale production systems
• Clear and grammatically correct client communications by phone
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands; ability to extract data from log files
• Basic networking debugging
• Relational databases and ability to form SQL queries

Responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries via emails or calls
• Proactive and reactive real-time monitoring of processes, connections and trade flows
• Investigate, triage and solve production problems as they occur
• Investigate inquiries via log files and process analysis
• Handle incidents with development, product and business units
• Escalate problems to core development and engineering groups
• Conduct daily proactive and ready-for-business checks
• Work in a global team and help standardize documentation and knowledge sharing
• Help write specifications and provide feedback to development teams
