Job summary

Elite is seeking an experienced Automotive & Diesel Technical Instructor to deliver OEM curricula and hands-on training in the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area. You will educate apprentice, mid-career, and experienced technicians in diagnostics, engine and electrical systems, and maintenance, aligning with OEM standards.

You will support apprenticeship programs, certification requirements, and workforce development, including veterans' transition initiatives, while maintaining training records

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of automotive and diesel systems, diagnostics, maintenance and repair.
• Experience delivering OEM technical training and instructional methodologies.
• Ability to teach in classroom and hands-on environments.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and service information systems.
• Familiar with adult learning principles and assessments.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; LMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based and hands-on automotive and diesel training.
• Instruct on vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, engine/electrical/powertrain systems, maintenance and repairs.
• Follow OEM curricula and instructional standards.
• Demonstrate diagnostic tools and service information systems.
• Evaluate student knowledge through exams and hands-on assessments.
• Provide coaching and professional development guidance.
• Develop training materials, lesson plans, and presentations.
• Support apprenticeship programs and veterans transitioning initiatives.
• Maintain training records and documentation; ensure safety compliance.
