Job summary

Ers Elite in Scranton, PA is seeking an experienced Automotive & Diesel Technical Instructor to deliver OEM curricula and hands-on training for automotive and diesel technicians, from apprentices to seasoned professionals.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, and routine maintenance, with a focus on workforce development and veterans transition programs. Strong instructional and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as automotive or diesel service technician (OEM/dealership experience preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in technical training or instructional roles.
• Current OEM technician certification or equivalent credentials.
• Experience with advanced diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Experience supporting apprenticeship or workforce development programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based and hands-on automotive and diesel training.
• Instruct on vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain, and maintenance procedures.
• Deliver OEM curricula per instructional standards.
• Demonstrate use of diagnostic tools and service information systems.
• Evaluate student progress with exams and hands-on assessments.
• Provide coaching and professional development guidance.
