Job summary

Elite in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton region is seeking an experienced Automotive & Diesel Technical Instructor to deliver OEM curricula and hands-on training for apprentice, mid-career, and experienced technicians.

The role focuses on diagnostics, electrical, engine performance, and preventive maintenance, while supporting workforce development programs and veteran transitions into civilian careers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of automotive or diesel service technician experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical training experience, preferably with an OEM, dealership network, or training institution.
• Experience as a technical instructor, master technician, shop foreman, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom-based and hands-on automotive and diesel training.
• Instruct technicians in diagnostics, troubleshooting, electrical systems, powertrain, maintenance, and repairs.
• Deliver approved OEM curricula in line with standards.
• Demonstrate proper use of diagnostic equipment and service information systems.
• Evaluate student knowledge via exams and hands-on assessments.
• Provide technical coaching and professional development guidance.
