Job summary

Livetelco is seeking a hands-on Group Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations for an international group across multiple countries. You will work directly with accounting tasks in Odoo, including journal entries, reconciliations, closing, tax accounting, and financial reporting.

This role is 100% remote, based in Morocco or Lebanon, and requires strong IFRS knowledge, multi-country/multi-currency experience, WHT/VAT handling, and fluency in English

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of accounting and finance experience.
• Hands-on in Odoo Accounting is mandatory.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit or equivalent.
• Strong bookkeeping and General Ledger accounting.
• Experience with WHT, VAT and international transactions.
• Experience with multi-country, intercompany and multi-currency accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for an international group.
• Perform month, quarter and year-end closings and prepare financial statements.
• Record journal entries, invoicing, reconciliations and tax accounting.
• Coordinate multi-country accounting, intercompany invoicing and currency handling.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.

Group Finance & Accounting Manager – Odoo

100% Remote | Based in Morocco OR Lebanon

We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Group Finance & Accounting Manager to manage the day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations of an international group operating across multiple countries.

This is not only a supervisory position. The successful candidate will be directly involved in accounting, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing, closing, financial statements and tax‑related accounting.

The position is 100% remote and based in Morocco or in Lebanon.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

• Perform and supervise day‑to‑day accounting in Odoo
• Record and review customer and supplier invoices
• Record payments, expenses and bank transactions
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Maintain accurate General Ledger accounts
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Review outstanding customer and supplier balances
• Manage accruals, prepayments, provisions and fixed assets
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closings
• Prepare and review trial balances, General Ledgers and supporting schedules
• Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and audit trails

International & Tax Accounting

• Manage accounting for several group entities across different countries
• Handle multi-company and multi-currency accounting
• Account for foreign exchange gains and losses
• Manage Withholding Taxes (WHT / Retention at Source)
• Reconcile WHT deductions and certificates with customer invoices and payments
• Support VAT and other tax reconciliations
• Manage intercompany invoices, balances and reconciliations
• Coordinate with local accountants and tax advisors in each country
• Support international tax compliance and double‑tax treaty matters
• Assist management in identifying tax risks and legitimate tax optimization opportunities

Finance & Reporting

• Prepare monthly management reporting
• Monitor cash flow and treasury
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Analyze revenue, costs and margins by company, country, project and customer
• Monitor customer collections and supplier payments
• Support group consolidation
• Improve internal financial controls and accounting procedures
• Provide financial analysis to management

Odoo

• Work daily with Odoo Accounting
• Maintain and improve multi‑company accounting structures
• Ensure correct configuration and use of journals, accounts, taxes and currencies
• Improve accounting workflows and reporting
• Identify and correct accounting inconsistencies within Odoo

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of accounting and finance experience
• Previous experience as Chief Accountant, Finance & Accounting Manager, Financial Controller, RAF or similar
• Strong hands‑on Odoo Accounting experience is mandatory
• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and General Ledger accounting
• Ability to independently prepare and review a complete set of accounts
• Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
• Experience with WHT, VAT and international transactions
• Experience with multi‑company, intercompany and multi‑currency accounting
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Advanced Excel skills
• Professional proficiency in English and French

Experience managing accounting for companies in Africa, the Middle East and/or Europe would be a strong advantage.

We are specifically looking for a hands‑on accountant and finance professional.

The candidate must be willing and able to personally perform accounting work in Odoo — not only review or supervise the work of others.

The role combines the responsibilities of a Senior/Chief Accountant and a Finance Manager.
