Job summary

StandardAero is seeking an ODA Engineer to serve as the keystone for the ODA organization, directing the certification team and ensuring FAA compliance with ODA procedures and regulators' requirements. The role involves planning, coordinating with the FAA, and managing certification activities across multiple projects with travel up to 25%.

Ideal candidates will have five years of FAA-related ODA experience, strong communication skills, and a technical aviation background.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated integrity in FAA experience.
• Technical experience with ODA functions and broad management experience.
• Minimum five years of FAA-related work on ODA-like projects including airworthiness responsibilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations, policies and procedures for ODA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and organization; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical activities per StandardAero's ODA manual and customer requirements.
• Serve as project manager for ODA programs as single point of contact for the customer.
• Interface with FAA, vendors and customers as necessary.
• Develop, edit and contribute to documents for certification activities.
• Attend project meetings and manage action items.
• Develop and execute certification plans to support modification projects.
• Develop and maintain the MDL for STC ODA projects.
• Manage certification compliance across projects.
• Coordinate design and program review meetings.
• Mentor others on certification processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
